[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill would give unmarried couples who live together (cohabitants) legal rights similar to married couples in areas like inheritance, financial claims during breakups, and decisions about children. Currently, cohabiting couples have fewer legal protections than married couples, even if they've been together for years.
Presented by Lord Marks of Henley-on-Thames.
