Cohabitation Rights Bill [HL]

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill would give unmarried couples who live together (cohabitants) stronger legal rights and protections when their relationship ends or in emergencies. Currently, cohabiting partners have very few legal protections compared to married couples, even if they've been together for years. The bill aims to make the law fairer for people who choose to live together without getting married.

Presented by Lord Marks of Henley-on-Thames.
