Children’s Clothing (Value Added Tax) Bill
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill removes Value Added Tax (VAT) from children's clothing, reducing the current 20% tax rate to 0%. Currently, most children's clothing is subject to standard VAT, making it more expensive for families. The bill aims to lower the cost of purchasing children's clothes by exempting them from VAT entirely. This would make essential clothing items cheaper for parents and carers across the UK.
Presented by Sir Christopher Chope.
