A
BILL
to
This bill limits the amount of money that public sector workers can receive when they leave their jobs through redundancy, early retirement, or settlement agreements. It introduces a £95,000 cap on exit payments across the public sector, including civil servants, NHS staff, local government employees, and other public bodies. The bill aims to reduce government spending on severance packages and ensure that public money is used more efficiently. It prevents situations where senior officials receive very large payouts when leaving office.
Presented by Sir Christopher Chope.
