British Broadcasting Corporation (Privatisation) Bill
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill proposes to privatise the BBC, selling it from public ownership to private owners rather than keeping it as a publiclyfunded service. Currently, the BBC is funded by TV licence fees paid by UK households. Under privatisation, it would operate as a private company, likely funded differently, such as through subscriptions or advertising.
Presented by Sir Christopher Chope.
