Rehabilitation of Offenders (Amendment) Bill [HL]
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill changes the 'Rehabilitation of Offenders Act' to allow people with criminal convictions to have their records treated as 'spent' (essentially hidden from public view) more quickly than current rules allow. It aims to give people who have served their time a better chance to rebuild their lives without their past convictions constantly affecting them.
Presented by Lord Dholakia.
