Age of Criminal Responsibility Bill [HL]

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill proposes to change the age at which young people can be prosecuted and punished for crimes in the UK. Currently, children as young as 10 can be held criminally responsible; this bill would likely raise that age, meaning younger children would be dealt with through other systems (like social care) instead of the criminal courts.

Presented by Lord Dholakia
supported by Wera Hobhouse.
