[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill would change UK inheritance law so that unmarried couples living together longterm can inherit from each other's property and money when one dies, even if there's no will. Currently, only married couples and civil partners have these automatic inheritance rights; cohabitants have no legal claim unless a will is made.

Presented by Lord Lester of Herne Hill.
