Illegal Immigrants (Criminal Sanctions) Bill

This bill would make illegal immigration a criminal offense in the UK, meaning people who enter or remain in the country unlawfully could be prosecuted and punished with prison sentences. Currently, illegal immigration is mainly dealt with through deportation; this bill would add criminal penalties on top of that.
