[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill would prevent police and news outlets from publicly naming someone suspected of a crime until formal charges are made. Currently, suspects' names can be released during investigations, but this bill would keep them anonymous to protect their privacy and reputation until the legal process moves further.
Presented by Sir Christopher Chope.
