BILL
to
This bill proposes to reduce the Value Added Tax (VAT) rate on domestic energy bills, electricity, gas, and heating oil for household use, from the current 5% to 0%. The measure aims to lower household energy costs by removing the VAT charged on these essential utilities. The bill would apply to residential customers and is intended to help reduce energy bills during a period of high energy prices and to ease the costofliving burden on UK households.
Presented by Sir Christopher Chope.
