Direct Planning (Pilot) Bill [HL]

This bill allows the government to run trial projects in certain areas where planning applications (requests to build or develop land) are handled faster and with a simpler process than normal. It's designed to test whether this approach works better, before deciding whether to roll it out more widely across the UK.
