Commercial Rent (Prohibition of Upward-Only Reviews) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill would ban 'upwardonly rent review clauses' in commercial leases (like shops and offices). Currently, some landlords can force tenants to accept rent increases but never decreases. This bill would prevent that, so rent could only stay the same or decrease when reviewed, giving business tenants more protection.
