Carers (Identification and Support) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill aims to make sure carers (people who look after family members or friends who are ill, elderly, or disabled) are properly recognised by the health and social care system. It would require doctors, hospitals, and local councils to identify carers and make sure they receive the support and information they need, rather than carers having to ask for help themselves.

Presented by Barbara Keeley.
