Permitted Development (Basements) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill makes it easier for homeowners to build or dig out basements beneath their homes by treating it as 'permitted development' , meaning they won't always need to ask the local council for planning permission first. Currently, most basement work requires formal permission; this bill would change that in certain situations.
