Armed Forces Deployment (Royal Prerogative) Bill [HL]

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill would change who decides whether British troops go to war. Currently, the Prime Minister can deploy the Armed Forces using an ancient power called 'royal prerogative' without asking Parliament first. This bill would require Parliament to vote and approve military deployments before they happen, giving elected MPs more say in military decisions.

Presented by Baroness Falkner of Margravine.
