This bill gives Alan Turing a formal, official pardon for his 1952 criminal conviction for homosexuality. Turing was a brilliant mathematician who helped win World War II; he was convicted and punished simply for being gay, which was then illegal. The bill recognizes this was wrong and clears his name.
