This bill gives official legal status to two international organisations: the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (which connects parliaments across Commonwealth countries) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (which helps people affected by conflict and disaster). The bill recognises their importance and gives them certain privileges so they can work more effectively in the UK.
