Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment (Amendment) Bill [HL]
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill amends the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 to strengthen local authorities' powers to tackle environmental crime and antisocial behaviour. It introduces new enforcement measures allowing councils to issue fixed penalties for littering, flyposting, and graffiti offences, and expands their ability to prosecute environmental violations more efficiently. The amendments aim to improve local environmental standards and give councils more tools to maintain cleaner public spaces without requiring full court proceedings for minor offences.
Presented by Lord Selsdon.
