Waging War (Parliament's Role and Responsibilty) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill would change the law so that Parliament must vote and approve any decision to wage war before it happens. Currently, the Prime Minister can sometimes commit to military action without getting Parliament's permission first. The bill aims to give elected MPs more control over when the UK goes to war.

Presented by Mr Michael Meacher.
