British Bill of Rights and Withdrawal from the European Convention on Human Rights Bill
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill would create a new British Bill of Rights and stop British courts from being bound by the European Convention on Human Rights (a treaty the UK helped create after World War 2). Instead of European judges having final say on human rights cases, British courts would decide them. It aims to give Parliament more power over human rights law in the UK.
Presented by Mr Peter Bone.
