Sound Recordings (Copyright Term Extension) Bill

This bill extends the length of time that copyright protection applies to sound recordings. Currently, copyright lasts a certain number of years; this bill would make it last longer, giving the owners (usually record companies or artists) more control over their recordings for an extended period.
