Right to Manage and Leasehold Bill
[As Introduced]

BILL
to
The Right to Manage and Leasehold Bill reforms the rights and protections available to leaseholders in England, particularly those in multiunit residential buildings. It lowers the thresholds and reduces the costs for leaseholders to collectively take over management of their buildings (Right to Manage), strengthens protections against unfair ground rents and service charges, and increases transparency requirements for managing agents and freeholders. The bill aims to shift power from professional managing companies and freeholders toward resident leaseholders, giving them greater control over how their buildings are run and maintained.
