Residential Roads (Adoption by Local Highways Authority) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill would require local councils to adopt and maintain residential roads instead of them being privately owned or maintained. Currently, some housing estate roads are not looked after by councils, which can leave them in poor condition. The bill aims to shift responsibility so that all residential roads are properly maintained by the local authority.

Presented by Mr Philip Hollobone.
