[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill requires the government to consult with pensioners and stakeholders before making changes to Pension Credit rates and Personal Expense Allowances. It also establishes a duty to regularly review these allowances to ensure they remain adequate. Pension Credit is a meanstested benefit for lowincome pensioners, and the Personal Expense Allowance determines how much money pensioners can keep before losing eligibility. The bill aims to ensure that policy changes affecting vulnerable pensioners happen transparently and are regularly evaluated.
Presented by Paul Burstow.
