Pavement Parking Bill
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
The Pavement Parking Bill would give local councils in England the power to restrict or ban vehicles from parking on pavements (sidewalks). Currently, only London has this authority. The bill aims to improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians, wheelchair users, and people with buggies by preventing cars from blocking footpaths. Councils would have flexibility to decide their own parking rules based on local needs rather than following a onesizefitsall national approach.
Presented by Marsha De Cordova.
