Hereditary Titles (Female Succession) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill would change the laws about hereditary titles in the UK so that daughters have the same rights as sons to inherit and pass on titles like Duke, Earl, or Baron. Currently, most titles follow 'maleonly' inheritance rules that date back hundreds of years, meaning they often skip over daughters to go to sons or other male relatives.

Presented by Harriett Baldwin.
