Arbitration and Mediation Services (Equality) Bill [HL]
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill aims to make sure that private arbitration and mediation services (which help people and businesses settle disagreements without going to court) cannot discriminate against people and must treat everyone fairly. Currently, there's uncertainty about whether equality laws fully apply to these services, so the bill would make it clear they must follow the same nondiscrimination rules as other businesses.
Presented by Baroness Cox.
