European Union (Exemption from Value Added Tax Regulation) Bill

This bill gives the UK government the power to change VAT exemption rules without being bound by European Union regulations. Previously, the UK had to follow EU VAT rules; now Parliament can decide independently which items and services should be exempt from this sales tax.
