← All secretariatsA secretariat is the entity that does the operational work of an All-Party Parliamentary Group: drafts agendas, briefs MPs, sends out invitations, books rooms, writes reports. When the secretariat is a lobby firm or PR firm, the APPG is a paid channel for the firm’s clients to access MPs. The MPs officer the group, the firm supplies the staff and the policy line, the firm’s clients (listed under Funders below) pay for the privilege.

To raise awareness of osteoporosis amongst parliamentarians and to influence legislation and policy makers to improve the lives of people living with the condition. The APPG will consider how to promote behavioural change and systems changes so people of all ages can strengthen their bones and prevent osteoporosis.
