A secretariat is the entity that does the operational work of an All-Party Parliamentary Group: drafts agendas, briefs MPs, sends out invitations, books rooms, writes reports. When the secretariat is a lobby firm or PR firm, the APPG is a paid channel for the firm’s clients to access MPs. The MPs officer the group, the firm supplies the staff and the policy line, the firm’s clients (listed under Funders below) pay for the privilege.

All-Party Parliamentary Group on Terrorism and SecuritySubject Group
To promote better understanding within Parliament of the threat of terrorism and violent extremism, efforts taken to prevent radicalisation, build community cohesion, and to secure and safeguard the British public and interests from such incidents. This group will also seek to facilitate discussion on how we can best support those impacted by terrorism.
