A secretariat is the entity that does the operational work of an All-Party Parliamentary Group: drafts agendas, briefs MPs, sends out invitations, books rooms, writes reports. When the secretariat is a lobby firm or PR firm, the APPG is a paid channel for the firm’s clients to access MPs. The MPs officer the group, the firm supplies the staff and the policy line, the firm’s clients (listed under Funders below) pay for the privilege.

All-Party Parliamentary Group on AllergySubject Group
The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Allergy raises awareness of allergy issues in turn hopes to influences policy, and supports people affected by allergic conditions. It brings together parliamentarians, experts, and stakeholders to promote better services, research, and education on allergies across the UK.
