A secretariat is the entity that does the operational work of an All-Party Parliamentary Group: drafts agendas, briefs MPs, sends out invitations, books rooms, writes reports. When the secretariat is a lobby firm or PR firm, the APPG is a paid channel for the firm’s clients to access MPs. The MPs officer the group, the firm supplies the staff and the policy line, the firm’s clients (listed under Funders below) pay for the privilege.

    To raise the profile of malaria and neglected tropical diseases in Parliament, to champion solutions and tools to prevent, treat, control, and eliminate them, and to strengthen cross-party Parliamentary support for UK leadership, investment, and mobilisation of political will as the world works towards the shared 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
