A secretariat is the entity that does the operational work of an All-Party Parliamentary Group: drafts agendas, briefs MPs, sends out invitations, books rooms, writes reports. When the secretariat is a lobby firm or PR firm, the APPG is a paid channel for the firm’s clients to access MPs. The MPs officer the group, the firm supplies the staff and the policy line, the firm’s clients (listed under Funders below) pay for the privilege.

To support parliamentarians engaging in discussions relating to music education through early years, primary, secondary, special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), further and higher education, and lifelong learning. The APPG has a particular focus on curriculum, music hubs, challenges facing higher education, and progression into the creative and cultural sector.
