A secretariat is the entity that does the operational work of an All-Party Parliamentary Group: drafts agendas, briefs MPs, sends out invitations, books rooms, writes reports. When the secretariat is a lobby firm or PR firm, the APPG is a paid channel for the firm’s clients to access MPs. The MPs officer the group, the firm supplies the staff and the policy line, the firm’s clients (listed under Funders below) pay for the privilege.

All-Party Parliamentary Group on Industrial StrategySubject Group
To facilitate cross-party dialogue on the UK's new industrial strategy. The APPG aims to provide a forum for government, businesses and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge of the strategy as it is developed and to ensure it works for all parts of the country.
