A secretariat is the entity that does the operational work of an All-Party Parliamentary Group: drafts agendas, briefs MPs, sends out invitations, books rooms, writes reports. When the secretariat is a lobby firm or PR firm, the APPG is a paid channel for the firm’s clients to access MPs. The MPs officer the group, the firm supplies the staff and the policy line, the firm’s clients (listed under Funders below) pay for the privilege.

To bring together parliamentarians, campaigners, communities, and other stakeholders, to explore topics relating to Ghana and the Ghanaian diaspora living in the UK; and to foster greater bilateral relations between the UK and Ghana.
