A secretariat is the entity that does the operational work of an All-Party Parliamentary Group: drafts agendas, briefs MPs, sends out invitations, books rooms, writes reports. When the secretariat is a lobby firm or PR firm, the APPG is a paid channel for the firm’s clients to access MPs. The MPs officer the group, the firm supplies the staff and the policy line, the firm’s clients (listed under Funders below) pay for the privilege.

All-Party Parliamentary Group for Food and DrinkSubject Group
To debate the policy priorities and issues related to the UK’s largest manufacturing sector, the food and drink sector. The group will aim to promote dialogue and discussion between industry and politicians through a series of policy roundtables, events and site visits.
