A secretariat is the entity that does the operational work of an All-Party Parliamentary Group: drafts agendas, briefs MPs, sends out invitations, books rooms, writes reports. When the secretariat is a lobby firm or PR firm, the APPG is a paid channel for the firm’s clients to access MPs. The MPs officer the group, the firm supplies the staff and the policy line, the firm’s clients (listed under Funders below) pay for the privilege.

All-Party Parliamentary Group on Responsible CreditSubject Group
To provide a collaborative forum for legislators, industry and consumer groups to discuss policy and regulatory approaches to ensure adequate provision of safe, regulated credit to consumers. The group will promote both responsible lending and responsible borrowing as a means to achieving financial inclusion and sustainable economic growth in the UK.
