A secretariat is the entity that does the operational work of an All-Party Parliamentary Group: drafts agendas, briefs MPs, sends out invitations, books rooms, writes reports. When the secretariat is a lobby firm or PR firm, the APPG is a paid channel for the firm’s clients to access MPs. The MPs officer the group, the firm supplies the staff and the policy line, the firm’s clients (listed under Funders below) pay for the privilege.

The APPG brings together parliamentarians and industry to examine strategic issues across planning, design, construction, and maintenance. It promotes cross-sector collaboration and investigates key challenges impacting the built environment, from housing and infrastructure to sustainability, safety, and quality of life for communities.
