A secretariat is the entity that does the operational work of an All-Party Parliamentary Group: drafts agendas, briefs MPs, sends out invitations, books rooms, writes reports. When the secretariat is a lobby firm or PR firm, the APPG is a paid channel for the firm’s clients to access MPs. The MPs officer the group, the firm supplies the staff and the policy line, the firm’s clients (listed under Funders below) pay for the privilege.

    To bring together bereavement services, charities, faith communities, health professionals, public sector organisations, and bereaved individuals to: raise awareness across Parliament of the impact of bereavement on adults and children; recognise grief support as a public health issue; and campaign for change for the wellbeing of bereaved people across the UK.
