A secretariat is the entity that does the operational work of an All-Party Parliamentary Group: drafts agendas, briefs MPs, sends out invitations, books rooms, writes reports. When the secretariat is a lobby firm or PR firm, the APPG is a paid channel for the firm’s clients to access MPs. The MPs officer the group, the firm supplies the staff and the policy line, the firm’s clients (listed under Funders below) pay for the privilege.

    To bring together parliamentarians who have an interest in and wish to further the appreciation and championing of classical music; to act as an interface between British orchestras' on and off-stage activities, the wider classical music industry and key decision makers and opinion formers.
