Sarah was appointed as Director General, Corporate Transformation in February 2026, based in the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). She has accountability for Estates and Major Change Programmes that are internally focused on corporate services.

Prior to this role, Sarah had been in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) for 7 years, most recently as Director General for Delivery and Group Chief Operating Officer.

Before joining Defra, Sarah spent over 25 years in local government and private sector, blue chip multinationals in large-scale transformation, sales, HR and chief operating officer roles.
