Paul Drechsler is a business leader with extensive experience as a chairman, chief executive, and board member across plcs, private family businesses, public bodies, and charitable organisations. His global career has included senior roles in Brazil, the USA, and the Netherlands, leading businesses across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Paul is currently:

• Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce UK

• President of the Society of Chemical Industry (SCI)

• a Trustee of The Felix Project

He previously served as President of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) from 2015 to 2018.

Paul’s senior board roles have included:

• Chairman of Bibby Line Group

• Chairman and CEO of Wates Group

• Executive Director of ICI plc

• Non-Executive Director at Essentra plc, Greencore plc and Schroders & Co. Ltd

Paul graduated in engineering  from Trinity College Dublin and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Laws  in 2018 for his contributions to business and society.
