Digitally Altered Body Images Bill
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill aims to tackle the problem of heavily filtered and edited body images on social media and in adverts. It would require that digitally altered images like those with smoothed skin, reshaped bodies, or extreme filters must be clearly labelled so viewers know they're not realistic. The goal is to protect people's mental health, especially young people who might feel pressured to look like impossible edited versions of real bodies.
Presented by Dr Luke Evans.
