to

This bill would allow the UK government to strip citizenship from British nationals who promote terrorism or violence. The legislation expands the circumstances under which the Home Secretary can deprive someone of their citizenship status. It applies to people born in the UK as well as naturalised citizens. The stated aim is to provide an additional tool to counter terrorism and extremism by removing citizenship rights from those deemed to be promoting such activities.
