Council Housing (Direct Investment) Bill

This bill would allow the government to invest more public money directly into local councils so they can build and maintain more council houses (affordable homes owned by the local authority). The aim is to increase the number of affordable homes available for people who struggle to afford private rent or to buy their own home.
