Abortion (Disability Equality) Bill [HL]

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill would change abortion law so that disability alone cannot be the reason for abortion after 24 weeks of pregnancy. Currently, abortion is allowed at any stage if there is a substantial risk of serious disability; this bill would remove that exception, treating disability more like any other factor in pregnancy decisions.

Presented by Lord Shinkwin.
