Youth Mobility Scheme (EU Countries) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill establishes a Youth Mobility Scheme that allows young people from EU countries to live and work in the UK for an extended period, and reciprocally allows young UK citizens to do the same in EU member states. The scheme replaces the freedom of movement that ended with Brexit, creating a bilateral agreement framework between the UK and participating EU countries. It aims to facilitate cultural exchange, work experience, and travel opportunities for young adults typically aged 1835. The bill sets out the legal basis for visafree or visasimplified entry, work rights, and residency conditions under this new arrangement.

Presented by James MacCleary.
