to
The Women, Peace and Security Bill requires the UK government to develop and implement a comprehensive national action plan addressing women's roles in conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and postconflict reconstruction. It establishes legal obligations for government departments to consider gender equality and women's participation in peace processes, conflict resolution, and security policy. The bill aims to increase women's representation in peace negotiations, security institutions, and decisionmaking roles that affect conflictaffected communities. It also requires the government to report regularly to Parliament on progress in achieving these objectives.
