Under-Occupancy Penalty (Report) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill asks the government to carry out and publish a detailed report on the underoccupancy penalty (commonly called the 'bedroom tax'). This is the rule that reduces housing benefits for people in social housing who have spare bedrooms. The bill simply demands information and transparency, it doesn't change the policy itself, just investigates its effects.

Presented by Chris Stephens.
